How the Palworld Breeding Calculator Works

Unlike traditional monster-catching games where breeding a fire-type and a water-type creates a specific hybrid, Palworld utilizes a complex, mathematical breeding power system. Players looking for the ultimate palworld breeding guide often get frustrated trying to guess combinations. Our calculator simplifies this completely.

Every Pal in the game code is assigned a hidden value ranging from 10 (the rarest) to 1500 (the most common). When you put a Male and Female Pal into the Breeding Farm with a Cake, the game takes their two hidden numbers, adds them together, and divides by two. The resulting egg will hatch into the Pal whose base hidden power is closest to that final number.

How to Breed Anubis and Other Legends

Anubis is one of the most highly sought-after Pals due to its Level 4 Handiwork skill. While you can catch it as an Alpha Boss later in the game, using our pal breeding combos calculator, you can hatch one very early on!

Because Anubis has a breeding power of 570, you simply need to pair two Pals whose average power equals roughly 570. The most famous early-game combination is pairing a Penking (520) with a Bushi (250). Alternatively, you can mix a Quivern and a Chillet to yield the same powerful Ground-type Pal.

Exceptions: Special Fusion Pals

While 98% of the game relies on the hidden power math, there are a few hardcoded palworld egg combinations known as "Fusions". In these rare instances, the math is completely ignored. Our tool automatically detects these. Examples include:

  • Relaxaurus + Sparkit = Grizzbolt
  • Mossanda + Petallia = Lyleen
  • Frostallion + Helzephyr = Frostallion Noct
  • Kitsun + Astegon = Shadowbeak

Frequently Asked Questions

Every Pal in the game has a hidden 'Breeding Power' number. When two Pals breed, the game averages their power. The offspring is the Pal whose hidden power is closest to that average. Our tool simulates this exact logic.

You can breed Anubis easily early in the game by combining a Penking and a Bushi, or a Quivern and a Chillet. Both combinations average out to Anubis's hidden power tier.

Certain Pals ignore the math formula. For example, breeding a Relaxaurus and a Sparkit will always result in a Grizzbolt, regardless of their hidden breeding power. These are coded as specific exceptions by the developers.

Yes, you can breed Alpha Pals, but the offspring will hatch as a normal, non-giant version of that Pal. However, the baby has a high chance of inheriting the powerful passive traits from the Alpha parent!
